I agree, but for one thing, namely, your assertion that Trump's reelection could not do more damage than he has already done. For those of us who have studied the Third Reich and see many parallels, there are many ghastly things that could happen but which complacent Americans cannot envision for their country. In addition, Trump, probably becaue of his ignorance, has a hold over the violent extremists on the right that DeSantis cannot match.
