I am in your camp totally. However, I want to tell you a little bit about the other side of things. About 15 year ago, the word was that the graduates coming out of ASU law school could not find work anywhere. So I hired 8 of them and told them their pay would be a percentage of what they produced. I also mentored them and even provided a big Christmas for them. They ran their hours and how much they wanted to put into their work. I also did all the marketing for them. They basically got part of a partnership without having to bear the stress of running it. The result? Most of them did no work at all, much less try to find business for us. One stole money from me. And the one who was motivated and competent waited until I was in the hospital and stole my clients. As a general matter, I definitely agree with you. But there is also an attitude problem among the young.
