I consider this to be one of your best, Umair, because unlike most the others, this one made me uncomfortable. I can distinguish myself in many ways from the White Liberal that you describe, but that misses the point. The point, as best I can articulate it now, is that many (or most) Americans (mostly white but not all) carry a subtle arrogance about who we are compared to others that has become so much of who we are that we do not see it. It is now our DNA. I don't know how to change that, except in myself.
