I hate to make this comment because I'm sure you and I agree on most if not all issues. But this sort of expression -- wordy, obscure, self-consciously intellectual -- is what motivates the right's hatred more than anything else. My source? I live in a village of a few hundred, all of whom except me are Trumpies, and this is the sentiment they express most often. If you care, learn to express in a manner that most people can follow.
