I took a fall on the golf course. It caused problems with my rotator cuff and gave me a small concussion/brain bleed. Those were no big deal. But when I went for the follow-up on the brain bleed, my wife told the doctor that I had had a little trouble articulating. The doctor rushed in for a test and then to the hospital for open heart surgery. Turned out there was a blood clot the size of a golf ball in my heart which no one would have known about but for my fall. I give a little thanks every time I walk by the place where I fell.
