I've written more than once about the "fact" that we would be better off if our leaders were women, rather than men. For reasons I don't understand, I know that that will never happen. But I don't see how spiritual life (as opposed to religion) can amount to anything unless it originates from the compassion, patience and unconditional love that characterizes women, not men. For what it's worth, after 74 years, my penis has yet to come up with a spiritual thought.
