Mario - Yep, me too. I'm 74 and 19 years older than my wife. Now I'm working remotely at home while she tries to create a life for herself out in the world. So I do everything at home: house cleaning, yardwork, bills, taking care of the dog, my job, etc. Despite cancer and heart failure, I'm still functional enough to do those things. Her focus is on her work not me, and it is clear to me that she doesn't want to be about my maladies anymore. But I don't resent that. She gave me 38 very good years, and it makes sense that she build her life in anticipation of the day that I pass. I get a little lonely sometimes, and those of you who have had cancer therapy know about the fits of depression that follow therapy. But like you, Mario, I resolved that I love my wife so much that I'm wiling to finish things in this way. And on balance, I'm still a pretty happy guy.
