When I was in that period of standing on the bridge and wondering what to do, I had no one to trust or even relate to. Somehow, that intense period passed, but the contemplation remains, even though my life looks normal. I guess my point is that helping somehow is not like a light switch; if you really want to help that person, it is a long term commitment.
